Breakfast is an important part of your stay at the Embassy Circle Guest House.
Our breakfast includes wonderful pastries baked fresh daily, organic breads for toasting, hot and cold cereals, salmon with cream cheese and capers, a platter of assorted cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, orange juice, and a selection of coffees and teas. Our signature dish is our delicious fresh fruit salad, which includes at least a dozen kinds of fruit every day.
Breakfast is served form 7:30 - 10:00 AM Monday through Friday and 8:00 - 10:30 AM Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
Coffee is usually available about 20 minutes before the breakfast is served so you can enjoy your first cup while you are reading the paper. Owners and staff are always present at breakfast to introduce guests and to facilitate conversation.

Impromptu Food
Raymond loves to cook and he has built himself a wonderful new kitchen in the Guest House. On a completely impromptu basis, he may serve Lebanese mezza, a wonderful desert, or a complete dinner - all at no charge to guests. While impromptu meals are not guaranteed - impromptu means "unscheduled" - if you stay for several days you are almost assured of at least one opportunity to gather around the kitchen island or the dining room table and taste something delicious that he has been cooking. |
Wine and Snacks
Enjoy a glass of wine and light snacks every evening from 5:30-7:00 PM. This is a great way to wind down after a day of meetings or sightseeing. Join us in the living room and trade restaurant recommendations with owners and guests, or enjoy the wine in the privacy of your room as you get ready for a night on the town. |

“Where to begin? The location is ideal, a couple of blocks from the Dupont Circle metro stop. The neighborhood is safe, lovely, and best of all, quiet – but restaurants, stores and nightlife are mere blocks away. The house itself is quite wonderful. The architecture has been preserved through a thorough and thoughtful renovation and the result is a clean, bright, elegant and comfortable place to stay. Breakfast and snacks are great – organic yogurt, scrumptious fruit salads, fresh-baked scones, etc., all consumed in good company. The thing that impressed me most was the people. My hosts, Laura and Raymond, were charming and considerate and the guests were delightful. We had dinner one night, courtesy of a guest and Raymond, and sat and talked for hours. You won’t miss not having a television. I will definitely stay here again.”
