Concierge
Real hospitality is one of the greatest differences between sterile hotels and world-class B&B’s. It’s not possible to provide real hospitality without hosts and hostesses, which is why Woodley Park Guest House is staffed – all day, every day. Do you want to arrive at 11 AM? 3 PM? 7 PM? There is someone here waiting for you. Do you have a question? There is someone here to answer it.
At Woodley Park Guest House owners and/or staff are present morning to evening to greet you, introduce you to the other guests, answer your questions about the city and the sites, and recommend great itineraries, fun shopping areas, and exquisite restaurants. We really want you to get the most out of your trip to Washington DC and we are all willing to share our best insights and favorite places with you.
Art

We love art! Since we opened the Woodley Park Guest House in 2000, we have been building a collection of original paintings and pastels. This is not the fastest way to fill the walls, but we have always felt that it was better to take the time to find original works of art than to choose corporate art, which is sort of like spam in your inbox in our opinion.
What is unusual about Woodley’s collection is that almost all of our artwork is done by our guests. Woodley’s collection includes works by guests Beto Rossi, Justina Selinger, Louise Link Rath, Maria Consoli Ianzito, Shoshanna Ahart, and Heather Craig.
Parking
It’s often hard to park in a major city, but it’s not hard if you are staying with us. Our Woodley Park B&B has on site parking for our guests for an additional charge. Please be sure to reserve parking when you are making your reservation!
Free High-Speed Internet Access
It’s seems like it’s no longer possible to take a vacation or go on a business trip without without a computer. We make it easy for you to stay in touch. Bring your own computer and connect to the internet through our high-speed network, or use our guest computer. We have both wireless and hard-wired access. Don’t travel with an internet cable? Don’t worry, we’ll lend you one for the duration of your stay at our Bed and Breakfast in DC.
The Front Porch
Our guests love sitting on our beautiful front porch. Have a snack, a cup of coffee, or glass of wine. Read the newspaper or a good book. Prepare your conference presentation or chat with the other guests. As one of our favorite guests says, ”The front porch is a favorite place to sip wine and visit with colleagues staying nearby at the Marriott Wardman Park or the Omni Shoreham. ’How did you find this place?’ they ask with a hint of envy.”
Books, Newspapers, Magazines, Games and Conversation
As you might suspect, a B&B without televisions attracts a lot of readers. In fact, we often find ourselves comparing book lists at breakfast. You can bring your own books or check out our selection. We particularly like history, biography and great novels. To keep you up to date with world events, we receive the New York Times and the Washington Post daily. And for a great short read on a wide range of topics, check out the magazine collection. Looking for something more social? Play one of our great board games!
