There is no question that Washington DC is beautiful when the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom. If you’ve always wanted to see this sight, but haven’t quite gotten around to it yet, this is your year! Because we had such a warm February, the Cherry Blossoms are blooming a bit early. The National Park Service has predicted that Peak Bloom will be from March 17 – 20, so you still have time to arrange a trip to DC to enjoy the Blossoms and the Festival that celebrates them. Washington DC is a beautiful, cosmopolitan city that attracts residents and visitors from around the globe. Everyone knows DC for a couple of obvious reasons:
- Capital of the United States
- Seat of international political power and influence
- Location of iconic government buildings, memorials and museums
But not everyone knows that DC is the home of some of the finest universities in the country, a list that includes our neighbor, American University, more commonly known as AU.
Washington D.C. is home to some of the most prestigious institutions of higher education this country has to offer. If you are visiting the nearby Georgetown University, you will find that our boutique hotel in DC, Embassy Circle Guest House, is in a prime location to easily explore both Georgetown and our bustling neighborhood – Dupont Circle.
